Our mission is to encourage and enable individuals to create a space in their lives to experience and process their internal life – to find a way to restore their inner balance. You'll find us at schools, private events and parties, eco-fairs and festivals.

Mindfulness for life
An eight-week course

Headroom is offering an in-depth introduction to mindfulness course. Mindfulness for Life draws on best practices from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the western mindfulness tradition, as well as integrating elements of the Plum Village approach developed by Tich That Hanh and the monastics of Plum Village.
This course is appropriate for participants completely new to mindfulness, as well as those with significant experience. The course begins by introducing the basic practices of breath and body awareness before deepening into awareness of feelings and thoughts, meditations to nourish happiness and kindness, as well as practices to cultivate mindful communication.
The course will be face to face within Manningtree or surrounding areas and structured over eight weeks, with weekly sessions lasting for two hours, held on an evening. In between session six and seven, there will be a full day of mindfulness which will run from 10am to 4pm on a weekend. There will be a maximum of 10 participants.
